Q: Is Shipping Included in the King Cake Price?

A: Yes Haydel's Uses UPS next Day Air Saver for delivery in most areas. Saturday delivery, some addresses, and rural delivery will have and up charge. This amount will be giving at check out by UPS.

 

Q: Can I ship to a Post Office  Box?

A: No UPS does not deliver to Post Office Boxes

 

Q: Do your King Cakes come with a baby inside?

A: Every Haydel's King Cake comes with a plastic baby. The baby is placed underneath the cake after baking.

 

Q: I have a nut allergy....do your traditional King Cakes contain nuts?

A: Haydel's is NOT a nut-free facility. Our traditional non filled King Cakes do not have nuts in them, but they are prepared around other products that have nuts, so it is possible that there has been contact with some type of nut or a product contacting nuts. Some filled King Cakes do contain nuts.

 

Q: How do I change the shipping address once the order has been placed?

A: To change the shipping address once an online order has been placed, please call us at 1-800-442-1342.  Please keep in mind that during our peak season call volume is very high. We appreciate your patience.

 

Q: We don't plan on eating our King Cake right away.  How should we store it?

A: King Cakes, both traditional and filled can be frozen for later enjoyment. Place your cake in the freezer in the bag it came in. Thaw at room  temperature when you are ready to eat and enjoy. 

 

Q: My order is due to arrive tomorrow, but it doesn't show that it has shipped yet.

A: Haydel's King Cakes are baked fresh daily. Your order is baked, packed and shipped the same day and sent UPS next Day saver should be delivered by the end of business next day. During our busiest times of year, UPS picks up in the evening. We suggest you track your package after 9pm EST.

 

Q How far in advance should I reserve my wedding date with you and pick out my cake?

A: Ideally we would like to receive your order at least one months before the wedding. If less than one months, just give us a call to check the availability of your date.

 

Q: When should I place my order for shipping?

A: We ship overnight and all web pricing includes UPS Next Day Air Saver shipping in most areas, rural areas, and Saturday delivery will have a additional fee. You can go ahead and place your order online anytime, simply choose your ship date (the date your order will leave the bakery). Or give us a call and speak to one of our shipping specialists at 1-800-442-1342. Please keep in mind that shipping dates will fill up during our peak season, so don't wait to place your order.
